Poem - Appreciating Your Muse
By: John E. Murray, III
Sometimes, we forget where our love started…other times, we choose to forget. Always remember where your passions lie. Always remeber that someone is out there to share your passion. It may be a friend, a relative, or your soulmate. When you find them, share your inspiration with them…
Long have I waited for the homecoming of a muse as pure,
Listening, chancing, attempting to feel, just to be sure,
Of the inspiration itself and what it brings,
Hoping for a lone player to pluck my delicate heartstrings.
To question the intentions would be a fruitless endeavor,
For what type of fool would dare refuse such a treasure.
This amazing angel carries me to a heavenly height,
With each touch, sound, and mere chance of sight.
We grow closer and closer each second of every day.
The nearer we become, the more this permanence
feels as if it will stay this way.
My longing has truly been quenched and has come to an end,
My tattered heart and mind have more than begun to mend.
